Foundation guide
With the foundation, the moss pole gets more grip on the substrate, and is stackable up to 200 cm high. On this page you can read how to start using the foundation.
Securing the foundation
You can place the foundation in your pot by digging a hole next to your plant, or by fixing the foundation in the pot and only then placing your plant around it. The latter has the advantage that you can easily put the plant's roots around the foundation without damaging them. Moreover, this way it is easier to put the moss pole and the plant close together.
Place the foundation in the substrate with its white side at the bottom, as shown in the illustration. The foundation may protrude up to two inches from the ground. However, the deeper the foundation, the stronger the post. Fill the foundation halfway with substrate. You can now place your moss pole in the foundation by gently pushing it into the opening. Keep pushing until the bottom of the mesh is against the substrate inside the foundation. If the moss pole does not fit easily into the opening of the foundation, you can gently squeeze the bottom of the pole with two hands as you slide it in.
